The Science and Math Complex (SAMC) is finally complete after investing $100+ million and 10 years of construction including four phases, partial demolition, 2 additions, and partial renovation. The building includes classrooms, science teaching and research labs, planetarium, café, student lounge and study space, greenhouse, vivarium, faculty offices, outdoor geo garden/teaching space, and bioretention garden. The building connects the northern residence halls to the center of campus with it’s welcoming atrium. Natural light floods the building and it’s creative lighting makes it a wayfinding beacon at night.
SAMC houses the departments of Biology, Chemistry, Earth Sciences and Science Education, Mathematics, Physics and the Whitworth Ferguson Planetarium. Don’t miss the newest addition to the Buffalo State campus.
