Buffalo State is undertaking renovation of all four of its Scajaquada Towers, which are suite-style residences for upperclassmen. This project will rehabilitate the Tower 3 student residence, the third of the four towers to be renovated. (Improvements to Tower 4 were completed in summer 2013 and Tower 1 in summer 2015.)
All suites received updated finishes, furniture, and bathrooms. The building received new windows and all new mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
The first floor will be reconfigured to allow for larger public spaces, resident director living quarters and office space. This reconfiguration allows more natural light into the main public area. In addition, the building will receive a new entrance marked by a translucent canopy.
The project is being designed as a LEED Silver project.
